The Skilled Motorcycle Riders Association, a 501(c)(3), is proud to present the North Texas Motorcycle Challenge, a precision skills competition. The event is an opportunity to showcase the riding skills of motor officers and civilians and will feature competitors from all over the Country.
Our event gets started with a full day of practice for the competitors on the Thursday. The official competition gets underway Friday and wraps up Saturday. Saturday is the best for spectators! The skilled riding is amazing!
Our competition brings together experienced riders on all types of motorcycles in a competitive environment to perform skill-based exercises. Our courses are designed by precision rider competition winners and motor officers. Competitors are judged not only by time, but also by the precision demonstrated navigating the courses. Competitors drive within a challenging path outlined by cones without knocking over or touching them. The course is designed strategically to push the limits of the motorcycle rider's capabilities.
Riding competitions at slow speeds requires precision techniques and extreme balance skills to maneuver through tight turns, small circles and demanding weave patterns. The exercises reflect a rider’s ability to control a large motorcycle, turn in very close quarters, and maintain balance in spite of sudden turning maneuvers.
